No matter which river you select though, you’ll quickly find yourself immersed in the wilderness, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

No Canoe? No Problem. Rental Canoes Available

Are you interested in canoeing, but lacking a canoe? Not a problem. The Redwood-Cottonwood River Control Area offers daily canoe rentals for use within the Redwood and Cottonwood River Watersheds. Contact the RCRCA offices at 507-637-2142 Ext.4.

Additionally, thanks to the recent Southern Minnesota Gateway grant, Fort Ridgely State Park & Upper Sioux Agency State Park will begin offering canoes rentals in late July 2010, along with trailers for towing the canoes if you’re hoping to start further upstream.
